The Doak's of Lancaster, Pa.

Much of the new Doak Family research documented on this Web Site has revolved around where the well known Doak's of Tinkling Springs, August County, Va. came from.  Researchers had always just sort of let them hang out in space without any origins.  Or if origins were addressed, they were vague and non-specific.  Some theories were just fairy tales about ships at sea, etc..   Through the efforts of this Web Site over the past 7 years, we now have a solid story to tell about the origins of the Doak's of Augusta County, Va..  It all revolves around what happened in Chester county and Lancaster County, Pa. from 1720 to 1737.  On this page, we will document that story.
